Munnar travelogue: After enjoying our stay in Kochi, we were truly looking forward to our next destination 'Munnar'. We had some idea about Munnar after reading the Munnar travelogue at munnar.org. Munnar sits above 1800 from sea level and is one of the most popular hill stations in South India. It was very beautiful and the morning clouds dusted the mountain tops. It was very nice to watch the places in Munnar. After arriving we were grandly greeted as we checked into the hotel. We grabbed the breakfast early and went to see the scenery. Our first visit was 'eravikilulam' national park. It was far away from Munnar approximately about 12km. We saw so many butterflies and birds. It was even a great place for trekking and relaxing. Then we heard about 'neelakurinji' a plant that flowered only once in 12 years. The last time it bloomed, was in 2006. Munnar was overcrowded at that time. Then we saw so many waterfalls and went to the 'Tata tea' museum which was located at 'nallathambi resort. Then we visited 'CSI' church, constructed on the rock without any plaster during the British rule. We walked through the Munnar vegetables and fruits market from church. We purchased some fresh strawberries and some other fruits. Then we went to many other places and we wished to visit more places but because of some problem, we were forced to went back early. But all three days were the most happiest and joyful days of my life.
