Jugjugg Jeeyo is an Indian Hindi language family drama, and comedy entertainer, starring Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, and Neetu Kapoor alongside Maniesh Paul and debutante Prajakta Kohli in supporting roles. Directed by Raj Mehta and written by Anurag Singh and Produced by Hiroo Yash, Karan Johar, and Apoorva Mehta under the banner Dharma Productions and Viacom 18 studios as distributor.

The film Jugjugg Jeeyo is a dysfunctional family rom-com with a unique story that is hard to see in a family. The leading stars Varun and Kiara as Kukoo and Naina are childhood sweethearts who end up marrying each other. The couple relocates to Toronto, Canada. Naina holds a white-collar job as in Kukoo works as a bouncer in nightclubs. The couple decides to part ways as nothing seems to be functioning among them. The couple flies to Patiala to attend Kukoo’s sister’s wedding. They appear as a happy couple there.

They find out Kukoo’s sister Ginni who’s engaged to Baljeet has feelings for her ex-boyfriend.

Kukoo discovers his father Bheem (Anil Kapoor) has an affair going with his 12th-grade math teacher Meera (Tisca Chopra). Later Bheem acts like he’s guilty of actions for developing feelings for Meera. Bheem’s wife Geeta (Neetu Kapoor) finds it hard to process this information. Latter forgives Bheem; Ginni decides to remarry the couple. On the day of Bheem and Geeta’s wedding, drunk Kukoo finds out that Bheem for the entire time was fooling everyone by saying that he left Meera. But for the truth, it was Meera who decided to part ways and Bheem was found guilty. The couple decided to file for divorce.

On the day of the court hearing, Kukoo apologizes. He decides to be there for Naina in her every step and portrays a very dramatic scene in the courtroom and therefore they reconcile. After two weeks the couple flies to New York. In the case of Bheem and Geeta, they file for divorce and the court grants them a probation period for which Bheem hopes to win Geeta’s heart back.

At some point, the film gets overdramatic in some scenes but is intact in giving the nature of the script. The actors have done a wonderful job. The music is fit for the movie. The music of the film is composed by Tanishk Bagchi, Kanishk Seth - Kavita Seth, Diesby, Cozy, and Vishal Shelke with lyrics written by Tanishk Bagchi, Kumaar, Abrar-ul-Haq, Diesby, Shamsher Sandhu, Ginny Diwan, Dhruv Yogi, and Ghulam Mohd. Khabar. Good job by the composers and lyricist. Overall, the start-studded movie is a perfect family entertainer.
