GOMEZ MAKES AN ENTRY INTO TEXTBOOKS

Selena Gomez a personality very well known for her beauty brand, songs , shows , films and much more has caught the attention of the audience by making it into an English textbook in Nepal. The exceptionally talented singer known for her songs and music albums is now teaching students english through her songs. A photo of the first page of the grade 4 text book went completely viral on Twitter with details of the singer along with song lyrics printed on the page. It is stated in the textbook that listening to her song "Who Says " many times alternatively would allow the students to learn English effectively. Further more information is printed on the page about songs and how it enables learning . As stated by a user "It is the first time ever an international music artist life history is in an English Textbook of Nepal".

Selena also shares her experience about the time she visited Nepal back in 2013 as a UNICEF ambassador to draw attention towards the needs of children within the country and across the world. The visit provided her an insight on children living in extreme poverty and how they are deprived of the basic human needs and rights. She believes these children can create an impact in today's world and promise a brighter future with the help of the education and opportunities provided by the UNICEF. Gomez was extremely moved by the importance these children gave to their education and their desire to be future leaders of the society.
