The corona positivity rates are increasing day by day. The government has advised being indoor as much as possible. Being inactively indoor for a long period can affect our mental and physical health, also spending hours watching TV and scrolling through social media will gradually result in greater lifestyle problems. Therefore it is essential to find ways in which we can keep our body and mind active while still following the COVID protocol. Below mentioned are a few which you could try:
1. Keep a Journal
Keep track of our thoughts, activities and learning is always a good idea. You might look back at this time and process your memory. Putting a pen to paper once a day could be 15 minutes well spend.
2. Learn a new skill
This could be anything from learning the rules of a game (for example chess) to learn to play an instrument. This could mean picking up a new instrument or upgrading your skills with an older one. ‘Skoove’ offers free piano lessons.
3. Meditate
Meditation is one of the best things we can do right now to relieve stress and improve our well-being. Find a quiet space, light some candles, and clear your mind with some therapeutic meditation music.
4. Learning a new language
Learning a new language is always beneficial. It is something useful that we can even add to our resume when applying for a job. Apps like ‘Memrise’ and ‘Duolingo’ help you to learn at zero cost.
5. Review or create your personal development plan
From a long-term perspective, it makes sense to work on your professional capabilities and skills that you can offer to your future employers. Always keep your personal development plan near and work on it to improve your personal and professional situations.
6. Make a routine
Finally and perhaps most importantly, be sure to write down a routine of the activities which you will be doing and trying for the first time.
